ADNA is proud to have advised Bank of Africa, BCP Banque Centrale Populaire, Attijariwafa Bank, Société Générale CIB, FIEM/ICO Instituto de Crédito Oficial on this pioneering SWRO PPP in Morocco, powered by 100% renewable wind energy and including a fully integrated water transportation system. It is the first in a series of initiatives to sustainably improve Morocco’s water security, contributing to SDG 6 re safe drinking water and sanitation for all. The sponsor consortium was led by Acciona with ACWA Power subsidiaries Afriquia Gaz and Green of Africa.
Safia Fassi-Fihri, who led the ADNA team on the ground in Casablanca commented: “This project is a game-changer for Morocco and the continent from a climate resilience and sustainable infrastructure perspective – supplying drinking water and irrigation to more than 7.5 million people in the Casablanca-Setta area.”
