ADNA advises Resolute Mining on the acquisition of the Doropo and ABC Gold Projects in Côte d’Ivoire

ADNA advised Resolute Mining on the acquisition of the Doropo and ABC Gold Projects Côte d’Ivoire from AngloGold Ashanti for USD150 million cash consideration and transfer of Resolute’s Guinean exploration permits to AngloGold, marking a key expansion into one of West Africa’s most established mining jurisdictions.
With this acquisition, Resolute reinforces its ambition to grow production and strengthen its operational footprint across West Africa.

Sydney Domoraud, who led the ADNA team, commented: “We are proud to have advised Resolute Mining on this transformative acquisition, which not only strengthens its presence in West Africa but also aligns with its long-term growth strategy. Supporting Resolute in securing two high-potential assets in a key mining jurisdiction like Côte d’Ivoire demonstrates our firm’s commitment to delivering strategic legal counsel on complex, cross-border transactions in the mining sector.”

The team was led by partner Sydney Domoraud, assisted by associates Christina Karaouni and Sigismond Konan.

ADNA Unites in Marrakech

Our entire ADNA team came together in Marrakech recently for a retreat dedicated to reflection, shared vision, and team spirit. With our team-mates from across our offices in francophone Africa, our sessions covered everything from the firm’s founding story to business development, financial hygiene, and the practices we’re implementing to drive excellence. These sessions also gave us the opportunity to:

  1. Reflect on our journey and growth
  2. Strengthen team bonds across offices
  3. Share key insights on performance, strategy, and legacy
  4. Align around our vision and ambitions for the future

Honest feedback and authentic conversations mean we’re more united and driven than ever. We’re especially proud of our team’s energy, openness, and shared commitment to shaping the future of ADNA together.
